Upkeep cleaning is a must whether you hire a professional cleaning company or not. Homes get dirtier quicker than they get clean, and sometimes it can just be a few days after a deep clean. Today, we’ll go over a few products you should always have in your home for maintenance cleaning.

All-purpose cleaner: The name of this product says it all. Most furniture can be cleaned by an all-purpose cleaner, which is usually used for sanitization across all parts of the house. When looking for an all-purpose cleaner, here are a few things to keep in mind:
Do you prefer nontoxic chemicals?
Do you have any allergies that might react to cleaner smells?
Do any of your furniture require a special cleaner?
Vacuum: Vacuums are extremely necessary in any type of home. Brooms are pretty much out of the picture at this day and age. If you hire a professional cleaning company to clean your home, we would suggest not setting a big budget for a vacuum since the company most likely is going to use a good vacuum. But if you clean your own home, looking at a higher-end vacuum might be best. We strongly recommend looking into the Shark brand. Here are a few things to look for in a vacuum:
Does the vacuum come with carpet and hard floor mode?
Does it have a self-cleaning brush?
Does it have a front light to help spot small dirt on floors?
Mop: After you have vacuumed your home, it is a good idea to clean your floor with either a regular mop (Cedar EasyWring Microfiber Mop) or a Swiffer Wet Mop. Both have pros and cons. A Swiffer’s advantage is that you can constantly change the mop head area if it gets too dirty. But that does end up costing more money in the long term. A regular mop will have a mop head that can be decently cleaned as you put the mop head back in the bucket. And please, make sure to change the water if it gets too dirty.
Glass Cleaner: This is as simple as it gets. Everyone has glass in their home, and you can always go with regular Windex Glass Cleaner or Sprayway Glass Cleaner. Vinegar (Windex Vinegar) can be used as well if you would like something more natural.
Bathroom Cleaner: In our experience, there really is one product that really does it all, and that is Scrubbing Bubble Mega Shower Cleaner. This will clean your shower glass, tile, bathtub, sink, toilet, hardware stains, etc. We have not found anything that works as well as this (we are always open to suggestions). There is no other recommendation when it comes to a bathroom cleaner.
Every home can be different, and some might have special materials and furniture that might require special products. If you need assistance with choosing the right product for your home, please reach out to us on our contact page for more information.
